My Story
I am from Crossville, Tennessee. I am 41 years old and have been writing poetry since I was ten years old. I have a hard time expressing myself outloud, but on paper the emotions and feelings just pour out. I have weathered a lot of storms in my life, but now the sun is out and bright. I hope to bring hope and inspiration to others who have been or are in the same situations I was in at one time. I want everyone to feel the peace that I feel now. I want everyone to know their voice can be heard and that they matter. We can accomplish whatever we choose as long as we choose the right people to be in our lives supporting us and our dreams. I am very thankful and blessed beyond words.
Piece from a Poem
Living my dream,
Working on me,
Showing this world,
The woman in me.
Living my dream, Just being me,
Springing back stronger,
Than the me I used to be.
Living my dream,
Working on me,
Showing this world,
The woman in me.
Living my dream,
My voice no longer weak,
I will stand tall,
Each time I speak,
Living my dream,
Working on me,
Showing this world,
The woman in me.
Living my dream,
So when I look in the mirror,
What shall I see,
A strong woman staring back at me.
Piece from a Poem
This Is for A Woman
This is for a woman,
Special to all our souls,
Who loved her family dearly,
And way beyond words.
She enjoyed our late-night coffee,
On our many snowed in nights,
And told me lots of stories,
Dear to her heart.
She was brave enough to venture the world,
Often speaking of Merced’s beauty,
And how she met her best friend,
Whom she spoke so often of.
SHOUT OUT PAGE
Throughout the storms in my life there have been many people who shed sunlight at different times. This page is a way to show my appreciation. Without all of you these goals would not have been reached. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know.
There will be more names added to the list, but waiting on permission to add them first.
